data-friendly version of their video hosting from the platform YouTube called YouTube Go
in “Google for India” event on last September. YouTube Go designed to bring
back happiness of the People who can't enjoy YouTube service due to poor
connectivity and Low Powerful Hardware. For using YouTube Go application you
have to login with your Google account and you need to verify mobile number
also. It will give you relevant video recommendation and normal video search
option also.
You
can also watch preview about video content when you tap on the thumbnail of video,
It will help you to decide whether watch the video or not. YouTube Go will
allow user to select the resolution of video, which will give transparency and
control over data usage. YouTube Go have inbuilt video downloader for downloading,
so user can watch video on offline mode
also on slow speed network up to 29 days without suffer buffering. After 29
days you have to reconnect the internet for renewing the video using minimum
data for checking availability and changes in the video.
Downloaded videos will be in a strongly encrypted
format, so that you can’t watch them using any other application but you can
share downloaded video with your friends or family without spending data using
“offline nearby Sharing” Option. Some of the videos are not available for this
offline nearby Sharing. Also YouTube Go is using Wi-Fi
direct to send and receive videos, and receiver can enjoy them by completing simple
verification .This app is having only size of 9MB and work on Jellybean
(android 4.1) also. As now beta version
of app is available in Google play Store for users from India and Indonesia.
